An establishment is seasonal if it operates for less than 6 months and more than two weeks a year.

Re-inspection Fee

This fee is imposed on those establishments that require more than one re-inspection per permit year. The fee is $150 per extra inspection.

This fee is collected when the establishment renews it application each January.

Mobile Vendor

Difficult to find and inspect; range from summer ice cream trucks to year round mobile canteens
Temporary Food Events
Complex menu (class III or IV equivalent), single vendor

From a public health perspective, the menu (potentially hazardous foods) is much more important than the size, and requires more work from the WWHD staff.

Inspection Fee

Most events are not inspected (pre-event work with WWHD staff is usually sufficient to ensure a safe event). There are several of the larger, more complicated events that require inspection, and they alone should be required to cover the inspection costs.

Plan Review
Food Service Facility Plan Review new permittee

Any establishment changing hands or opening de novo, must review its physical plant and menu with WWHD staff. Any renovations must be approved, and any existing physical deficiencies must be addressed before a permit to operate will to operate will be granted.
Food Service Facility Plan Review, existing permittee, renovation

 $140

Any renovations to an existing establishment must be approved by WWHD prior to installation. This fee will be doubled if WWHD finds renovations at an establishment that were not approved by WWHD.
