Westport Weston Health District Hosts Emergency Preparedness Forum

The recent storms of Irene and Alfred had a significant impact on Connecticut residents and tested the emergency response capabilities of towns throughout the state. The Westport Weston Health District will host a public forum on Monday, January 30, 2012 for residents and the town’s emergency responders to discuss personal and the town’s preparedness experience.

The forum will start at 7 p.m. in the Westport Town Hall Auditorium. The public is invited to  join the discussion on the importance of being prepared for emergency situations and the role of residents and emergency responders. The discussion will be led by Westport’s Fire, Police, Human Services, Department of Public Works and the Westport Weston Health District. Residents are encouraged to take this opportunity to learn from the experts how you and your family can  be better prepared to handle an emergency and support the community in its response.
