Live Well is facilitated by specially trained leaders, and provides opportunities for interaction and group problem solving related to common issues experienced by most people living with health concerns or conditions. “We are more like coaches”, says Monica Wheeler, Community Health Director at WWHD and Terry Giegengack, Assistant Director at Westport Human Services, both trained facilitators of the Live Well Program. “The answer to someone’s question is usually from the participants in the room.”
Each week, participants get the support they need to enhance their lives, find practical ways to deal with stress, anxiety, and pain, discover better nutrition and exercise choices, understand new treatment choices, and learn better ways to talk with doctors and family about health concerns.
So whatever your health concerns – weight, cholesterol, blood pressure, arthritis, asthma, chronic pain, anxiety, Lyme disease, or being the caregiver of another, our Live Well workshop can help you change your life and live it WELL!
